History Of Blackheath H.C.

Generally regarded as the oldest hockey club in the world, the Club was founded no later than 1840 according to a book "Hockey" by J. Nicholson Smith and Philip A. Robson (published by A.D. Innes & Co. Ltd. 1899 Isthmian Library), which states : "Blackheath Hockey Club was formed not later than 1840".  The earliest written record in the possession of the Club is the Minute Book of 1861, and the Centenary was celebrated in Season 1961-62. The history of the Club .... We also have a Brief History of the Outcasts ....
