Last season the lads triumphant Road To Lee Valley consisted of a blistering run of HOME fixtures (except Waltham Forest - which is practically home as it's just through the Blackwall Tunnel!) This season the story has been quite the opposite with all our fixtures after Round 1 AWAY. Taking in the sights of Guernsey and Gloucestershire along the way. nevertheless we are once again one step away from our second consecutive final.
After a hard fought 2-1 victory against Wotton-under-Edge in the Quarter Finals of the England Hockey Trophy on the 26/02/17. The Club now faces Norwich City HC in the Semi Finals on Sunday the 19th March at College Meadow. The winners progress to the final at Lee Valley Stadium: The Wembley of Hockey at the Olympic Park in East London. Our opponents would be Trojans or Didsbury Northern (our Semi Final opponents last season whom we demolished 6-0).
Another Semi-Final appearance is a huge achievement for everybody at the Club. We've already comprehensively dispatched our opponents from last years Final -Guernsey so let's go all the way. The extraordinary efforts by the Committee and so many others have led us to this point. We're continuing to grow, develop and expand - from our Under 6s to our Vets to our Back To Hockey Programme to our Elite Hockey teams.
