The Highwaymen have something up their sleeve … quite literally!

At least the Highwaymen won't be wearing any of their 1950s kit now!
- Tony D'Cruz (not really!)

Following on from the earlier news item about junior kit, here is a similar article regarding a senior men's team's kit. The Club continues to be hugely indebted to the ongoing generosity of its senior shirt sponsor, Grand Cru, and the Highwaymen are even luckier to count the company's founder, Andy Rose, in their matchday squads on a regular basis. The team can now also boast the first senior customised home and away kits at the Club, as per the photo of the goalkeeper's smock above. The shirts retain all the important features of the current standard O'NEILLS version, with the usual colours and design, plus the Club badge and Grand Cru branding on the front. In addition, however, the shirt carries the word HIGHWAYMEN across the shoulders at the back, plus the team's bespoke Dick Turpin "skull and cross-sticks" logo on both sleeves … marvellous stuff!

So, food for thought: if the Highwaymen can do it at Men's 6s level, then why not consider doing the same for your own team? The cost of a full team set of shirts (including a smock) is well under £400, so the cost need not be absolutely prohibitive.

And as a further consideration, it is worth noting that separate "sleeve sponsorship" is something seen in a lot of sports now, particularly motor racing, rugby, cricket etc., so the shirt sleeve is also a potential billboard for any interested commercial parties. As the playing shirts are individually printed from computer generated designs, such innovations can be added quite easily, so if you know of any companies who might be interested …..

Not that anybody can ever replace Andy Rose, either on the pitch, or on the front of a BEHC playing shirt!
