We ended the last game of the first half of the season as we began with a 5 -0 win.
The team played a high press and this paid off as our players totally outplayed the Dartford players and kept the play in their half making plenty of opportunities to penetrate their D, when Dartford were able to get the ball it was ably cut out by a strong midfield and defence.
We managed to score 2 goals in the first half the first by Sue the second from Freya but should have been more but for the Dartford goalkeeper who for us was their MOM.
Half-time and a much needed break for the team who had run themselves ragged, myself goalkeeper this week had had nothing to do thus far so took a leisurely stroll in the surprisingly mild afternoon to the opposite goal where Netty and Karen were giving words of encouragement and advice.
Eager to begin we were in position before the whistle was blown to signal the beginning of the second half and we continued with the same play as before but with what seemed like even more intensity and purpose, the passing and talking more accurate.
The game was all in the Dartford 23rd or D and we scored another 3 goals, another 2 from Sue and 1 from Tasha we also missed/had saved numerous others making the final score 5 - 0.
The last couple of games have really seen the team start to gel and fight for the win and going forward into the next half of the season is looking really hopeful as we make sure and steady progress up the table.
