On 26/01/2019, the ladies 4s were playing an away game, against Marden Russets. Though some members of the team were thrown a surprise, a pre-match navigation challenge as the pitch was well hidden, on a windy road, in deepest darkest Kent. However, the assurance of excellent match-tea sausages from Holly set the team in high spirits. Despite the cold and wet weather. High morale was matched with excellent play from the ladies 4s, with great passing and space creation the ball was rarely in Mardens half of the pitch. Both Sue and Rebecca scored and thanks to Ana’s brilliant goalie skills, the final score was a 2-0 win for the team. MoM was three-way tie between Rebecca, Sue and Sarah and WoW was myself/Liz; who managed to get injured about 30secs into the warm-up. It was as real hard fought battle which kept us in 4th place with all to play for for the remainder of the season.
