A few issues with navigation both on and off the pitch saw BEHC Womens 2nd team draw 2-2 against Kings Alleyns
Navigation went array from the outset as Yanoulla spent many hours trying to reach the opponent’s pitch for a 1.30pm start. She made it (via many SE’s) and was suitably awarded ‘Thanks for Coming’ for such gritty determination. Next from deepest darkest defence came Haps Nav, who went off full throttle down the pitch and scored Blackheath’s first goal forwards style. In fact, she came close to getting fined for over-zealous hockey so early in the season, what with all that sprinting, tackling and general menace aforethought, but she got Man of the Match instead. Both sides experienced some excellent play with some wayward moments where personal Sat Navs may well have improved things. But it was warm and King’s Alleyn were keen, having come up from the division below. They soon scored then scored another. But despite Karen’s navigation tool being hampered by some serious argy bargy, she locked on to their goal, ran like a gazelle and tonked in the equaliser so definitively that all on the side line wept.
Brilliant umpiring Rob, nothing wrong with your GPS!
Final score 2-2.
