CHEEKY WIN FOR 1ST MATCH OF 2018
January has arrived and the Christmas break is over!
BE Ladies 2's met to dust off New Year glitter and banish the Christmas turkeys. The ladies where in high spirits and had a positive outlook on the game. With the team venturing to play on a new pitch surface, even though some read the pitch information wrong, Avery Hill seemed a fast and smooth running pitch.
The start of the game started with Blackheath taking the attack to their opposition. With attacks coming from the all angles, drives and linking passes to create goal scoring opportunities. This attack led to the first and only goal of the match coming within 22 minutes of the game. This was a well worked attack with the ball being put in the goal by Juliet.
Blackheath continued to press however the Kings Alleyn team stood firm. The half time whistle came and the team join together with words of wisdom coming from coach Rob and Harriet.
The second half started and the game was equally competitive, with the Kings Alleyns pilling on the pressure and making the game tougher. However the BEL2’s defence stood tall with a great team spirit to battle and fight to win back the ball and try to attack and put pressure of themselves.
Player of the match went to Ali, for her great work in defence and Thanks for coming going to Yanoulla for lack of understanding on which pitch the team where to play on.
Special thanks must go to Netty for providing soup for teas, Karen for creating sweet cake to celebrate Nat’s birthday and all those supporters who came to see us have a great winning start to 2018.
