FACE PLANT VIEW
Match report this week written by proud Captain Nicky from her point of view....spending most of her time flat on the pitch!
Ok, so you’ve all heard of a birds eye view. Well, as the proud award winner of the DOTD this week, this match report is brought you by a “face-planted-in-the-pitch-kind-of” view.
It must therefore be stated (for the record) that the information found within this report may not be an entirely accurate record of events. However, the most accurate information that must be stated first and foremost, is the BEHC Ladies 3s beat Dartford Ladies 2s 8 goals to 2! Yes!! That CAN and should be stated on record as accurate. 8-2!!!
Our Saturday started with an early push back down in Dartford. We took a little longer than usual to get into our swing, but used the first 35 minutes to put 2 in the back of the net from our number 47, Amanda Sibanda. Our 2 goals were quickly followed by two goals from the opposition, both off the left hand post! (Opposition goals I hear you say?!?! SAY WHAT!!!). That made it 2-2 at half time.
An upbeat team talk and fighting team spirit at half time, and 35 minutes to make it count!
6 GOALS in the second half! (SAY WHAT?! I hear you say again!). Yip 6 GOALS!!! One from our right half Magui Bertalini; who couldn’t quite believe it was all happening as it happened. And it must be said, that even though I spent most of the game face planted into the turf; this goal I did see! In fact, all 14 of us stood by in disbelief and watched it go in, over the keepers head. GOAL!
Two goals from number 77, Kylie Brackenridge literally on the keepers pads. Right place at the right time! Exactly what we need!
One goal from number 82, Juliet Laycock from the top right of the circle. A real beauty!
Two goals from number 19, Carmel Longley. Slip, slap, slop and she nailed it. Fox in the box is back baby!
This team have fire. This team have friendship. And this team are on a winning streak. Long may it last!
