It's likely not a surprise, but disappointing nonetheless - England Hockey have confirmed today that all Club and Community hockey will be suspended from the start of lockdown on 5 Nov till after 4 December.

This means that the Men's, Ladies & Junior sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings will be the last sessions we are able to run for a while. We believe members will welcome the chance to train/play/socialise etc... for the last time for at least 4 weeks if not beyond plus both Men HC & Ladies HC wish to have sessions to set objectives for lockdown.
It's not yet clear what this will mean for the season - it may be extended and we can catch up the lost weeks. We will hold off making final decisions about subs, DD and financial matters until these details are clearer. However, if anyone has any pressing individual concerns, please do email Ravi our Treasurer treasurer@blackheath.co.uk who is happy to help and discuss.
Rest assured there already is and will be lots of activity behind the scenes during lockdown to ensure BEHC are back better than ever and ready to go again when permitted. The Senior & Junior Committees will meet virtually to continue this important planning. More news to follow.
