A number of our youngsters have been in action for their schools this autumn and there have been medals-a-plenty

Blackheath Under-12s’ Isla Oliver and Grace Vyas both have a new medal in their rooms. The pair were members of their seven-a-side school team – Sevenoaks – that won the East Region Championship, beating off the best schools from Essex, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
Imogen Lewis from our Under-10s was part of the All Saints team that came second in the Lewisham Hockey Cup.
Under-14 girls’ Jasmine Lewis and Amelia Couper were both part of the Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School team that came third in the Kent Cup.

Meanwhile, this week marks the start of trials for several of our youngsters to see if they can make it up the ladder of the England Pathway.
Around 50 Blackheath kids have been involved in the Pathway this autumn – a record number – and a select few will get the call this week to see if they have been invited to try out and move further up that ladder.
We wish all of those who get called in for trials the very best of luck.

We always want to hear about the achievements of our youngsters. If your child has shone for their school or been selected for their skills for county or national level please do get in touch. Contact, the junior section co-chair Niall Couper here
