NIKKI ALEXANDER-LLOYD CONFIRMED AS THE NEW MEN'S 1XI COACH

Blackheath & Elthamians delight in welcoming Scotland international Alexander-Lloyd to the Meadow

As the European Hockey Federation launches their #EquallyAmazing campaign, Blackheath & Elthamians Hockey Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Nikki Alexander-Lloyd as the new Head Coach for the Men's 1XI squad for the 2019/20 season and beyond.

Nikki Alexander-Lloyd brings over 8 years and 130 caps of international experience with Scotland, playing at the highest level, including the 2015 European Championship and the 2014 & 2018 Commonwealth Games. Alexander-Lloyd has been playing her club hockey for Wimbledon HC in the English National League where she Captained her side for the last 2 years. Previously playing at Canterbury, Sevenoaks and Bromley & Beckenham.

"We’re very excited that Nikki [Alexander-Lloyd] is joining Blackheath [& Elthamians] as Head Coach,” said Matt Wilde, club Chairman. “We know she is going to take the club in a new direction and push towards our long term goals. Nikki is a proven winner and I know she will be an excellent role model and coach for the club.”

Alexander-Lloyd joined former GB Captain, Dan Fox and his programme of elite 1:1 in 2018, as well as being a fundamental member of the Hockey for Heroes squads.
