We have some good news for ALL the goalkeeping fraternity within the Club. By the end of this month you should all be able to order your own bespoke BEHC goalkeeping smock via the O'NEILLS online web-shop, and hopefully for the same price as a standard outfield shirt too. Previously these items have only been available with the full kit orders for the Men's and Ladies' first teams, but not any more.

It is sometimes easy to forget that including the junior section there are probably 30 or more keepers on the Club's playing staff at any point in time, so it is only fair that you too can now wear the official Club kit with pride. Once placed, your order for a shirt will materialise within the usual 7-10 days and be delivered to your home address. And you don't really need a squad number either … keepers normally have the number 1 on their backs anyway.

When ordering, remember that you need to allow for your protective gear too. In general your smock will therefore be either 2 or 3 sizes up from your "real" body dimensions, so an S size adult will generally use an L or an XL keeper's smock - bigger is generally better. If in doubt, just ask one of the coaching staff or consult another Club keeper. There will be separate designs for the adults (with the "Grand Cru" sponsorship) and the juniors (sporting the "C-R-Y" charity logo), but they are otherwise identical to the smocks worn by the Club's top keepers … and they really do look good - the smocks, that is, not necessarily the keepers themselves!
