DYNAMOS DASH HOLCOMBE’S HOPES
A well deserved win from a quality young team that showed everyone how to play.
The day was very much one of proper hockey. Throughout the match the Dynamos passed around and advanced the ball down the ground. Perseverance paid off with two goals. This was no easy achievement – Holcombe were second on the table until this match.
A superb effort by the ever reliable Chris Brown at centre back saw the game well controlled and the ball distributed well. And this allowed the younger talent up the front to shape the play and be fully in control of attack and scoring opportunities. We ran the legs off Holcombe who must have had a combined age of 3 to 4 times ours.
Goals to David Leverton and one of the younger gentlemen, but I can't remember who - Josh, James, Willor Louis.
Man of the match to James (not scribe) and it was a very close vote. All the younger players deserved it.
We discovered on Friday night that the expected goalkeeper was unavailable, so James Fell made a second appearance this season as Ds keeper. Clean sheet, thanks to the top quality defenders - Louis, Zac and Chris.
