Another fine day at London Marathon Ground saw BOE Dynamos compete in our second home game of the season. Confidence was high following last weeks win and with the addition of a proper keeper in Joe returning between the sticks. From the start it was clear that BOE had the upper hand with some fine movement in midfield from Toby and new additions Zac and Alex. The first goal soon came with a fantastic run from midfield and dart into the oppo area by Toby with his shot expertly deflected in and through the goalies legs by Harry Southgate. One nil and several more chances were created, however, our finishing was less than clinical. The defence in Matthew H, Tom F and Jake L alongside the skipper held strong with every attack thwarted. Although Joe had to wait for the second half for a shot on target, he was by far the less busy of the two keepers on display. Toni De-cruz had his usual cameo up front and provided a good target man for the midfield. Young Max arrived on time this week which is encouraging and linked up well with others. The second half started with BOE only wining by the one goal and at times, the tension showed. Although more chances were created by the Dynamos, we were almost caught short on a break away and the game was poised at one nil for the final moments. More chances for the Dynamos came and went and on another day the score line could have been in double figures. Nevertheless, the game ended with another win for BOE and I cannot question the high level of commitment and desire each Dynamo player contributed to this win. Many thanks to Ali and Angela for their umpiring duties, and fair to play to Cobdown who were generous in their praise after the game and magnanimous in defeat.
MOM Alex M with Jake L a close second.
Goal: Harry Southgate.
