DYNAMOS DOMINATE AGAIN

Match report: Danny Lewis

After last weeks victory during a blizzard at Cobdown, the Dynamos were pleasantly surprised to be playing in glorious sunshine at home. This week the Daring D's started the game with five Under 17's in Elliot Alger, Jake Lewis, Tom Farrant, Will Leverton and Ben Baker. Also playing his first game of the season for the D's was Tony Johnson in goal. The game started brightly for the home side and soon the D's converted following a fine move down the right with another newbie for the D's, Tom Davies slotting home. An expertly manoeuvred short corner involving the skipper and Andy (Cookie) Cooke and the score was two nil. Two more goals, one from Cookie and Ben Baker and the score was a deserved 4-0, however, the oppo scored from a short corner and at half time it was 4-1 to the home team. The second half started as the first did with BOE on top from the outset. Some fine tackling from Elliot, Jake and Tom at the back held the oppo at bay. The second half also allowed young Will Leverton to continue his fine first half performance with him demonstrating immense skill and temperament for someone his age. The midfield held strong, marshalled by the experienced David Leverton and recently returning Mikey Earnshaw. Two more goals followed from the home side with the skipper scoring from a short corner and Ben Baker making the final score 6-1. Some fine performances all round especially Callum, Will and Tom Davies in midfield. Man of the match was Will Leverton and the future of the club is bright with the quality of the youth coming through the ranks. This victory was the Dynamo's tenth in a row and another fine performance. Well done all around.
