Kirsty the captain and Sandie the manager lit BEs fuse on a dark, November evening on a leaf-strewn College Meadow pitch, awaiting a spectacular show of focus and effort, but after a few good passes, the tepid display confused them and strengthened MRs.
Once again BEs slow-burn start hampered fluid and controlled passing but half-time was an opportunity for players to re-focus and get into the zone, witnessed as the defence kept out all attempts at goal by MRs.
Cleona played her heart out up and down the pitch. ‘Cesca also.
Daisy scored a goal but as the ball went through a hole in the net, the umpire couldn’t allow it as unseen.
Gina scored but it was disallowed. Many attempts were made against a very good goalie with dependable feet.
So BEs amazing Grace decided to score where those feet could not reach, three times! What a player.
Banger of the Match went to Juliette for hiding opposition balls on target under her boot on two occasions.
Sparkler of the Match went to Daisy for brilliant play whilst distributing to her teammates to hugely enhance the overall impact by the team.
Final Score Blackheath 3-0.
