Holcombe (2-2) BEHC 4

On a cold and frosty morning, deep in darkest Chatham, BEs did battle with a determined H5. It was bitterly cold and BEs had to be in constant flow to keep warm and focussed. H5 gave them plenty to do which saw a determined Abi running constantly to threaten their defence and Ciara, always making herself available to distribute ball under great pressure, Charlotte covering a lot of ground and Isla being in the right place so that, with Emily R, they could constantly feed the forwards and defend when duty called. Everybody’s hard work was rewarded by a magnificent, breath-holding goal by Sandra, followed by Gina’s goal from a perfectly timed pass from Emily R. Cleona was on fire too, and was involved in all BEs attacks on goal. However, at two goals to one down, H5 was incentivised to get warm and get even, scoring the equaliser and taking the much fought-for win from BEs mitts.
Player of the Match went to Cleona for brilliant play. Wally of the Match went to Daphne for wardrobe malfunction.
