Herne Bay Felt the Love but Lost it Anyway
How to put this, BE’s were in a loving, courteous and dashed sporty mood at their match against Herne Bay this morning, several days shy of St Valentine’s. To be fair Herne Bay were a very nice team, but the down-shift in aggression appeared to come once BE’s had secured a lead of two, appearing to relax under the blue sky, its bright sunshine and dilute warmth softening earlier urgency, despite Daphne’s raucous side-line commands to get down and gritty. Herne Bay did score a goal, but BE’s rose to type when necessary, Nat, Iona and Louisa keeping them safe whilst Sue and Kate scored the goals.
Wally of the Match went to Louisa for stopping a ball near BE’s goal then running it up close and personal to almost score an own-goal, whilst Man of the Match also went to Louisa for her 3D skills.
Final score a great win, 2-1.
