After a bumper scoreline last week, BOE travelled to Sutton Valence to build on that success and momentum.

There comes a time in a season of very hard work that everything just clicks.

This click happened last week with a 10 - 0 win after a quite fantastic performance from all the BOE 1st XI boys.

With a tough trip away to Sutton Valence, who had given us a good game at the Meadow earlier in the season (3-2), we knew that a result against these boys would not be easy.

Much delay en route to the game with accidents, diversions and a treasure hunt for the changing rooms meant that the pre-game preparation was somewhat quicker than previous weeks.

The game began and BOE hit the ground running, a trait we are now becoming adept at in recent weeks.

1-0 to BOE from a standard Michael Lawrence drag flick to top left.

2-0 to BOE. Our 50th goal of the league season was a very special and worthy goal. Michael Lawrence with a hard strike into the D for Ryan 'Splash' Wallace to dive at full length on his reverse to bury the ball in the Valence Goal. Lovely Stuff.

2-1 Sutton Valence found themselves back in the game after a scrappy penalty corner that BOE did not defend well.

3-1 A BOE attack resulted in a P Flick after a foot on the line. Michael Lawrence stepping up and burying it to restore our 2 goal advantage.

4-1 Minutes before the end of the first half, BOE extended their lead once more with a converted penalty corner from Michael Lawrence to notch his hat-trick.

A half time team talk from our beloved player/coach and new 'baby daddy' Dunners, which consisted of moaning like a 12 year old child because we (he) had conceded a goal. 'I have a big ego and you dented it' was one of the many lines he used.

With this Oscar winning moan ringing in our ears the players decided we would shut him up proper and turn it on.....

Some of the 'Highlights of the Second Half' were:

Nick Boot Handford, on holiday from work but returning to play, clearly had a word with his Lord and an extra Weetabix at half time. He bagged 3 goals: hat trick hero. including one from a fantastic 'assist' from Jonny Bond. (Don’t ask Jonny)

Jonny Bond scored two. One of which was a rocket of a goal into the top left from the right hand side of the D, very tekkers. Also a great assist to help Nick Boot Handford score his hat trick. Selfless when he was also on two goals himself.

Sam Djavit scored two. He should have had more but we are yet to get the BromBecks selfishness out of him. Enjoy washing the kit and thanks for the lift in the 'Saville Bus'.

Michael Lawrence - there isn’t much this kid can’t do! Two more to bring his tally to 5. That's 5 goals last week and 5 this week. A priceless asset to the team and about to be a bottle of Champagne richer.

That sealed what could be a record win for BOE, 15 - 1, away from home. Unbelievable Jeff.

Goals:

Mike Lawrence - 5
Nick Boot - 3
Jonny Bond - 2
Sam Djavit - 2
Ryan Wallace - 2

....but wait, that makes 14? We scored 15?!

Oh Yeah, Tom Archer, lucky goal. Enough said.

MOM - Nick Boot - Hatrick Hero
DOD - Sam Djavit - Selfish, apart from driving 8 of us there and back.
