Piesold at the double to help hammer OW's

The sun was barely up at College Meadow as BOE 2's pushed back at 10.30am against Old Wiliamsonians. The early exchanges were tentative but it was BOE who looked on top. Bar a flaky short corner OW's didn't really challenge but BOE looked more fluent going forward than last Saturday. It took a bit of magic to break the dead lock, DeWit played in Thorogood who's tracer bullet pass found Piesold, the lightning quick forward approached the keeper and casually slotted his first. 1-0 half time.

The second half saw only 1 side in it as Piesold was on hand to score his 2nd at the far post. Dan Moore was running the midfield and debutants Clover & Broughton looked solid in the inner positions. A bustling attack from Mike Earnshaw found Edd Thorogood who slipped in Adam Mulvanny who duly slotted his first goal in 1,460 days. The game was wrapped up but BOE continued to attack and a final short corner saw Edd Thorgood drag flick in off the inside of the post! 4-0 and a great way to finish off the preseason session.
