ACADEMY ON SONG AS 2's BRUSH ASIDE BURNT ASH

On another uncomfortably hot pre-season matchday the new look youthful Men's 2s took on a much changed Burnt Ash team. With the U18 Academy up and running this season, some members of that group of future hockey stars have been given their chance to shine at Senior level. Gabriel Downer, Ben Heggarty, Josh Self, Jake Lamplough, Dominic Lester, Tom Shephard & Louis Dods all played their part in a comfortable win as three 2nd half goals secured a comfortable and pleasing win for the boys. Goals from Tom Shephard, Louis Dods and James Morrison sealed the win but it was the much improved movement, distribution and control of the ball that was most impressive. As the League season draws nearer a few more experienced faces will return but they will have to warrant their place and should this squad look to our youth this season, then we are in equally good hands.
