In a game where both sides had equal chances the Ashford forward line sneak 2 goals and the opposition keeper has a stormer to keep BOE at bay.
BOE showed some fantastic fighting spirit in this game and, to be fair, had enough chances to take a point at least, however the Ashford Keeper was in inspired form and kept the BOE boys at bay.
There was no real need for concern in the first 20 minutes as most of the play was in the centre of the pitch. The game was totally even until a very sleepy bit of defending saw Ashford take a quick free hit and slot the opener. BOE would be denied with two superb saves from the Ashford keeper as Powell was kept out twice from short corner deflections.
The second half was much the same with Clover hitting the post, Thorogood testing the keeper from the top of the D and anoth couple of short corners brilliantly kept out. And just as BOE looked to get back into the game, Ashford struck with a late one to seal a 2-0 win.
Onwards and upwards for the BOE boys.
