Having led comfortably for 62 minutes the 2nd XI only have themselves to blame as they surrender a 2 goal lead amongst sprinkler mayhem to only gain a point at Sevenoaks.
An early push back at the prestigious Tonbridge school saw BOE take a point from a possible 3.
The first half was dominant with plenty of chances and our desire to strike the ball directly at the keeper was evident as with a couple of one on ones and some fairly straight forward attacking positions saw us waste the chances.
Early in the 2nd half Archie fought for the ball and found himself in the right place at the right time to put us 1-0 up and within a few minutes we were 2 to the good as Clover found the net again. Things were looking good and but for 2 exceptional saves from the Sevenoak's keeper, we would have been 4-0 and out of sight.
As we entered the last 8 minutes things were comfortable but, as the ball went across the D and seemingly off for a 16, Big Jim had 'a moment'. The 6"11 keeper handed the ball to a Sevenoaks forward and it was 2-1. Sevenoaks were lifted knowing full well they should have been dead and buried and as the looked to gain the momentum BOE gave the ball away on the 23. As the ball was bobbled across the D, two defenders missed it and the ball evaded the diving keeper and as the sprinklers came on the Sevenoaks forward tapped in at the far post.
3 points lost.
