Maidstone came to the Meadow with a clear desire to win. They were off and running after just 34 seconds as disaster struck in the BOE ranks. 0-1 and a poor start.
However BOE got back on the horse and dominated possession, they were looking dangerous with every attack and, after 20 minutes they took the lead as James Goldsmith rifled the ball into the bottom corner.
Half time was 1-1 and BOE were in control and, as the game went on the 2's looked like the most likely to get the win. But, as per much of the season, the boys would be punished for being wasteful in front of goal and for nodding off at the back.
It was an all too familiar 5 minutes as first of all the ball ran to a Maidstone player after a double rebound, and he was able to tap in, then a nasty deflection flew in to register a nightmare 5 mins for the boys.
Needless to say 3-1 down was a struggle and the boys some how left the game with 0 points.......
