And then the game started, for the next 58 minutes BOE dominated the play and won the game 2-0. However, there was little hope of turning a 0-3 deficit after 12 minutes against a quality side.

Having given a very good Kent Uni a 3-0 head start BOE looked a quality side. BOE had changed one or two things at the back and had barely had a chance to say hello to each other when the Uni boys took the lead, little more time had elapsed when BOE were caught on the break and after 12 minutes the boys had allowed the opposition 3 chances and were 3-0 down..........Oh!

But, from that moment on it looked like a different game. Id like to mention at this point that between goals 1 & 2 for Kent Uni, Will Powell had got through on goal, beaten the last defender and was one on one with the keeper, brought down and fouled, Short corner????? Umpire refused to give a stroke but game a short corner for a push in the back, interesting that when quizzed after the game the umpire claimed that Powell hadn't got in front of the defender, so how does he push him in the back? Wow!

An Archie goal on 50 mins brought us back into it and with 10 to go Clover and Thorogood both tested the keeper from the top of the D and Clover also rattled the post! It would indeed be Clover who scored BOE's 2nd but, alas, it was too late.

If we had held strong for the first 10 we would have given ourselves a great shout of winning.
