A trip to Burnt Ash isn't always an enjoyable one, with frustration often the mood of the day. In parts, we looked like a solid unit who worked well together, but ultimately found ourselves 2-0 down early on due to some sloppy play. The opposition capitalised on mistakes and found their way through our press, thanks to some clinical finishing up front.
We created a lot of chances but unfortunately couldn't quite convert any of them until Edd Thorogood calmly smashed home a rebound a few minutes before halftime. Although more of the same came after the break, frustration began to creep in, and a number of the youngsters saw
green for ill discipline. We were piling on the pressure and it seemed like the next goal would go our way, but two quick short corner goals in the last 5 minutes sealed the result at 4-1.
Overall a frustrating & somewhat disappointing performance, despite creating enough chances to have potentially won the game.
MOTM- Gabe, solid in defence and a threat going forward
DOTD- Jake & Clarke, getting sent off for chatting back to the opposition umpire
