Not for the first time this season BOE turned over a better team than the side they struggled against the week before. BBHC were a tight, well organised side but BOE switched on the style to win convincingly. After a fractious start that saw both sides press hard, there was a worry that 'de ja vu' might creep in as Edd Thorogood missed the most open of open goals from 3 yards. But James Morrison came to the Coaches rescue with a drilled strike from the top of the D to give the Club a 1-0 lead. BOE continued to press and after a strong move down the right Scott Dow found himself in the D for a deflection and BOE were 2-0 to the good as half time was called.
BOE didn't look in much bother all game but at 2-0 there was a danger of letting BBHC back into the game. BOE won a short corner and a carefully changed move saw Rob Noble deflect in for the all important 3rd goal. BOE kept the ball beautifully and as Greg Broughton drove forward from left inner, his bullet pass was deflected into the roof of the net from the top of the D by Edd Thorogood to notch number 4. It's always nice to put a gloss on a victory and so it was that Rob Noble was found in yards of space and drilled the ball into the goal. 5-0 and a fantastic team performance to get BOE going a week late!
Man of the Match: Scott Dow
DOTD: Edd Thorogood (the clearest decision ever for DOD)
