After a good start to the second half of the season, the 3's aimed to continue their unbeaten form against Canterbury. During the opening 15 minutes Blackheath were controlling the game and a goal seemed inevitable. However a quick break by Canterbury led to a short corner. On their first strike, it was a goal. Against the run of play Canterbury were ahead, but confidence remained high with Blackheath as it was a position they were well accustomed to and had fought back in previous games. Blackheath continued to build pressure with multiple short corners, but again a sucker punch from Canterbury and they were 2-0 down. Blackheath went into half time frustrated and shocked by the score line and after a motivating speech by Ders they resumed play with a great chance of clawing back a result. In the 60th minute finally Blackheath broke the defence down and it was 2-1. 10 minutes to go and Blackheath pushed, but as they sacrificed structure, they were undone with a quick counter play by the opposition.
Whilst the result finished 3-1 Blackheath are still out of the bottom 2 and aiming to rise higher up the table in the coming games.
