A Close Game Against Redbridge

The Ladies 1st XI squad stepped up for their 3rd match at Lee Valley. It was a close game against Redbridge finishing in a 1 - 1 draw. Overall BEHC deserved to hold on for a win but were unlucky in the closing stages of the game.

The team started well with some great possession in midfield and transfers across the pitch in defence. There were also some great passes down the line enabling the forwards to attack the Redbridge goal and test the opposition's defence.

After pressurising the Redbridge defence BEHC secured a short corner. Sian took the straight strike at goal and Beth managed to follow up with a rebound putting the ball in the back of the net - whoop!

Everyone continued to run their socks off in the heat and keep calm in some tussles with the opposition. Unfortunately late on in the game Redbridge managed to break through by overloading the BEHC defence and converted a goal - such a shame not to hold on for the win.

However, BEHC should be pleased with the game as they continue to try new patterns of play - keep it up ladies!
