Run Waltham “Forrest” Run!

It was another hot evening at Lee Valley and the Ladies 1st XI squad lined up to take on Waltham Forest A’s.

“Run Forrest Run” sprung to mind as the opposition started at pace whilst BEHC seemed sluggish and lacklustre however this didn't last long.

“Forrest” put 2 goals away in the first half but this wasn’t going to stop BEHC. The half time team talk made the ladies step up their game and come back fighting. Who needs Lieutenant Dan when BEHC have Coach Rob on hand to help!

In the second half the team proved that hockey and BEHC “goes together like peas and carrots”. They put increasing pressure on the Waltham Forest defence and cracks started to show. Finally a short corner was converted by Jenna followed by another goal from Grace.

Unfortunately “Jennnnnnay” wasn’t able to make the game this week but was there in spirit. Thanks to Vicky and Rob who organised the team on the night.

All in all great work rate on a hot evening. There are still some things to work on but it’s all looking positive for a great season ahead.
