Blackheath Ladies 1's v's Meopham

4 - 0 win to Blackheath - the team now sit top of the league after their first game!

The first league game was upon us and we were ready to take on Meopham. We welcomed new faces into the team Jenna, Netty and Alex, who all slotted well into our systems of play.

Although we had a slow start Blackheath began to dominate the game and won a short corner. This was our opportunity to try out our new corners and calls. However our everready and trusty coach was on his mobile! This landed him his first DoD of the season.

By half time Blackheath were 2-0 up with both Vicky and Alice having scored great goals. The second half saw Karen score a cracker of a goal off a straight strike. We were now 3-0 up and still managing to hold off Meopham’s quick breaks. Blackheath were on the attack again and Jilly got a pass slipped right at the top of the D and put it away with ease into the net.

Final score 4 - 0!
