We grabbed our maps and compasses and headed out into deepest darkest Kent to play Marden’s finest farmers on a cheerful frosty morning.
Style was of the upmost importance and there were several outfit changes for fashion faux-pas (not used to wearing home kit when away).
Onto the game: the soon-to-be-old Annie scored an early steamer from a short corner and the rest is history (aka that was the only goal all game). We held strong in the mid with help from the ever cool gilly not being fussed by the children bouncing off her earning her MOM.
Lots of promising play up front with just a few goals out of reach. For once Jules was positive about the defence and reported “they never looked close to scoring” - not what it felt like at CB but thanks nonetheless.
Overall not our best performance but 2 wins in a row is nothing to be sniffed at and is definitely an indication of the glorious victories yet to come (hopefully!)
