A Jenna hat-rick seals the win!

After a disappointing defeat last week Blackheath Ladies were determined to start hard and fast and did! Before 2 minutes had elapsed pressure down the right hand side of the pitch from George and Vicky meant the ball was slotted across the D for Jenna to put away. 1 - 0 to Blackheath.

Blackheath continued to apply pressure but after a break from BBHC, it left a 2 on 1 with the defender and BBHC played it around, wrong footing Sarah in goal, and slotted the ball in the net for an equalizer. 1 - 1.

From then on it was all to play for, good pressure from both teams meant mistakes saw the game open up. However Blackheath held firm and began moving the ball around asserting their dominance. After winning several short corners Sian passed left to George who shot towards goal, as the ball was about to cross the line, Jenna, on the right post, made sure it went in to give her a second goal. (sorry George- Jenna's goal!) Half time whistle blew shortly after and Blackheath were 2-1 up.

Second half was well fought and neither team could really find a break through. Sarah GK kept out the short corner shots and held firm in goal. Finally after some skilful dribble from George followed by a hard cross, Jenna was not in the mood to mess around and smacked the ball cleanly into the net for her third goal. Full time saw the final score 3 - 1 to Blackheath. Well played everyone, we fought well, and were victorious.

A hat-rick from Jenna left the team in no doubt about player of the match and Jenna was duly rewarded. Dick of the day then presented to me, Netty, after a detour to the match via Erith.
