Ladies 1's Couldn't find the back of the net!

Ladies 1st X1 Match Report
Blackheath V Redbridge and Ilford
The day started with a rousing team talk from Coach Richard however, unfortunately, some members of the team (who shall remain nameless until the end of this report) neglected to fully understand the importance of the triangles which were to be used during the game.
Now to the game itself…..
BOE started the game brightly with wave after wave of attack starting from our defensive line and superbly working through the midfield who in turn expertly passed onto the forward line but were unable to force the ball over the opposition’s goal line, this continued for the whole of the first half with shots and short corners going amiss.
The half time team talk was about more of the same but putting the ball in the back of the goal.
The second half was much like the first with the Jilly, Vicky and the Wallace Special failing to get BOE their much deserved goal. Even the tried and tested straight strike from the top was kept out by the keeper who in the words of many of the BOE players was on fire and could give Maddie Hinch a run for her money.
Sarah touched the ball twice in the BOE goal and I believe once was to retrieve the ball for a BOE 16 hit out, such as the dominance of the BOE 1XI but alas it was not to be for the girls today no matter what they threw at the opposition (Some say that they even saw a kitchen sink) the ball just would not go into the goal and the game finished 0-0.
There was an event in the second half that would crown Karen Stevenson as the DOD in which she appeared go down in a heap for no apparent reason, Karen is adamant that she was tripped so after much investigation from Scooby and the gang we have deduced that we have a phantom at college meadow so be aware when all alone on the pitch.
