The friendliest of friendly games

It was Blackheath Ladies internal derby and tensions were high.

Blackheath 1s started with a controversial forward pass but the 2s put the pressure on early forcing the 1s back into their own half. The pressure continued with the 1s facing possibly the toughest mid field unit yet.

A well defended ball passed out deep and right left George free to hit Jenna high in the D. Jenna threw the ball left round the advancing keeper before slicing it into the goal and army rolling across the astro.
This gave the 1s the boost they needed to drive the game forward and soon scored another at the right post from Sian to George.

A complex manoeuvre between Sue and Grace involving 1 2s and a cheeky threw the leg pirouette left the 1s 3 nil up at half time.

Knowing Netty's team would come back fighting the 1s were keen not to drop their concentration. Megs, however, decided scrap that it would be more exciting to help Netty's top of the D strike into the back of the net. 3:1.

Never fear another Grace, Sian, Sue move finished with Sue reaching the back board from the tightest of angles. Jilly sealed the game with a final p-spot drag flick making the final score 5:1 to Ladies 1s.
