After a delayed start, a cup of tea a lot of fresh faces and nice white jumpers. We warmed up with positivity and enthusiasm. Charlie eventually scored (in the warm up) and when the umpire finally arrived refreshed we started.
The first half started with trepidation and the opposition were quick to press. After some hard fought play they managed to score a goal. Hannah decided to have a rest and lie down mid pitch we weren’t sure if it was the effects of her intense training from the night before or the oppositions elbow to her head.
The second half saw a refreshed Blackheath who chased down the ball and challenged the opposition especially from Jilly balboa.
After some goal line saves from Kate and lots of play on the left we gained a short corner. A strike from Kate was saved but the rebound was quickly followed up by Hannah and Sue and a equalising goal was scored. The final five minutes the team dug in deep and saw an unbeaten run continue for another week...
