Ladies 2's against Ashford and the Frost!

If today’s game was a Christmas cake and Blackheath players were ingredients, this is how the recipe for today’s gateau spectaculaire would appear:
• Self-raising flour-Sandie for rising above the fugitive challenges of the Ashford forward line and Annette for seamless replacement of the valiant and consequently injured Becs.
• Sultanas-Harriet & Georgina for shrivelling up many, many attempts by the Ashford forwards.
• Raisins-Nat & Karen for raisin’ the team spirit through relevant rolling, sending balls at speed to all corners & mile-high cake.
• Pitted prunes-Blackheath forwards for sweet, plump, sumptuous attacks but with just that essential something missing in the finish.
• Cherries, glace-Hayley, Max, Ali, Kate and Sarah for providing some out of the ordinary moves.
• Mixed spices-Bigsy and Beth for their piquancy of execution and being cinnamen-of-the-match.

• Alcohol-Sue following her Friday night do with ‘can do’ desire.
• Butter, organic-Beth for slick yet yielding play, creaming Ashford’s defence and gaining Blackheath’s amazing solitary goal.
• Eggs, beaten-All the team for un-curdled focus throughout which gave the match structure and strength despite a looming 2-1 defeat.
• Baking powder-Lady umpire, a disadvantage here as using SR flour.
