Blackheath & Elthamians (0-3) Tunbridge Wells

With a solid team talk and warm up complete, morale was high as the ladies 2s were ready to take on a tough game against Tunbridge Wells.

Took us a few moments to settle into the game, but as soon as we did dominated the first half with great attacking play into the oppositions 16.

Great play between the defenders and midfielders - square passes up the right channel to the forwards who awarded us with plenty of short corners. unfortunately, despite this, every attempt at goal was saved by their goal keeper who was annoyingly good at her job!
With 10mins left on the clock Tunbridge scored their first goal of the game making it 1-0 in the first half.

Second half, Tunbridge worked hard to increase their goal difference with plenty of attempts at goal. Shout out to Zoe as she made some blinding saves and put the attacking team under a lot of pressure.

Unfortunately fatigue had set in for Blackheath, and despite everyone giving it their all, Tunbridge scored two more goals making the final score 3-0.

Heads up girls, we will get there…let’s regroup, learn and go again next week.

MOM - loads of nominations this week! So well played to everyone…but Nel was awarded this weeks MOM for her skilful play.
