Blackheath Ladies 2nd 1X V Ashford 2’s

The ghouls were out at Ashford town, to steal visiting souls and cart them unto the underworld. Whilst waiting for the post-match teas did feel a bit like purgatory, the match was in fact a perfect storm of tactics, determination and team spirit. Blackheath played as though the devil was the opponent and the midnight hour, push-back. They ran, tackled, slapped and got injured as though life depended on it. A truly inspiring performance, which brought tears to the eyes and caused the opponents to hail them as “the best challengers yet this season.”
Karen of course won the ‘trick’ response for a goal saving move that would have made Maradona weep and ‘treated’ Ashford as a result.
Kat and Lydia won the pumpkin award for spookily amazing play.
