First draw of the season saw some amazing goals.
The return match was always going to be fast and furious. Blackheath was looking to restore some dignity and league position in this the return match, Sevenoaks were just exercising more punishingly youthful gazelles.
Yet, despite an early Sevenoaks goal, Blackheath shone through with an amazing first goal, initiated by Karen at half-way, polished off by Gina through goalie pads, so sweet. Everyone played a most focussed, professional game for Blackheath, with backs, goalie and mids in constant motion, being a complete nuisance to Sevenoaks, who were relentless. A weep-worthy flow of play saw Max (through the legs)pass to Robyn, who scored a lovely second goal allowing Blackheath to go 2-1 up.
Blackheath took the punishment and gave it but could not stop Sevenoaks from equalising in the second half.
Both teams played with passion and grace, dignity restored.
Final score Blackheath 2-2.
