OUTSTANDING RESULT

Blackheath’s first league match and their well earned victory were a joy to behold. The whole team fought hard and were rewarded early with two goals by Netty, the captain. The first goal was a selfie where Netty dribbled, out-paced then scored with a great hit, her second was from a fab pass from Robyn. This pumped Anchorians into a faster attacking strategy from which they scored their only goal from a short corner. The second-wind battle however was won by Blackheath who, a little jaded in the final quarter, scored a third goal from Nat’s elegant sprint down the right and perfectly delivered hit passed two defenders, deflected in by an awaiting Gina. Hannah and Beth were worthy Men-of the-Match for giving such outstanding performances throughout the game.
