I suspect a Muggle-Repelling charm was used on the Holcombe goalie’s habitat as not one of the many Blackheath shots could penetrate it during the first half. Balls that were almost in were magically repelled. Balls went to either side, were kicked back in a paranormal way, causing performance anxiety and shame. But Holcombe scored three. Someone, probably Haps must have whispered ‘Expecto Patronum’ under their breath, summoning Beccs as the team patronus, for she then spent her match insanely repelling Holcombe attacks and keeping their score rate to earthly limits. Theory was proved when ends were exchanged and Blackheath put away a goal after a great Lucy run down the right, crossed into Gina’s path and in to the spell-cleansed goal. Beccs won Man of the Match for amazing keeping. Lucy won Thanks for Coming, as although the team lost 3-1, she scored 2.
