Blackheath Ladies 2nd X1 V New Becc’s
Blackheath fireworks started earlier than advertised as their hockey team fizz, bang, walloped into force at noon.
Daphne detonated the proceedings with much flare and soon Gina’s fuse was alight, rocketing into the goal area and flicking in the first goal over a prostrate goalie.
Team members sparkled as though bombettes on speed, exploding here now there with some “ooh ahh” moments of brilliance from Olivia, Kat, Jenna, Harriet and Georgina.
Almost without seam, Blackheath’s startling terrestrial displays deflagrated as less rehearsed routines were introduced on the hoof, igniting New Becc’s to respond with a barrage to take the lead.
However New Becc’s were not prepared for Blackheath’s weapon of choice, ‘Exocet Sue’, who banged in a cracker to equalise.
Nat B managed to fizz down the pitch ball stuck to stick, despite gunpowder issues.
Another weapon of mass destruction, keeping Blackheath in the game with an explosive performance was Annette who managed to repel all other New Becc’s attacks, including a penalty flick from their main player allowing Blackheath to climax their display at 2-2.
