Blackheath Ladies 2nd X1 V Meopham

Confucius, he once say ‘net with many balls brings happiness over that with one’ but in this case Blackheath’s goalie Annette and her defense team played their hinds off to keep out said ‘many’-allowing only two, whilst a brilliant pass from Biggsy was tonked into Meopham’s goal by Gina to get the ‘one’.
The game was a smorgasbord of sweet and sour delights especially between Karen and the ever frisky Kat, whose duets in the middle frequently stopped Meopham in their tracks. Their shared Man of the Match photo lovingly shows how close they are off and on the pitch. Nat deserved a rosette for playing everywhere.
There were a few gallops up front, namely Biggsy with some wonderful crosses by Karen, some connecting with Gina but no further fireworks were observed. The Blackheath thoroughbreds walked off toward the stables for a good rub down with a loofah and a strap-on bag of oats, to celebrate coming second to those currently second in the division.
