Blackheath Ladies Hockey 2nd X1 V Alleyn’s

There are 7 wonders of the world, 7 deadly sins, 7 brides for 7 brothers, 7 dwarves and 7 goals by Alleyn’s to defeat a magnificent Blackheath side, who used all grit and determination to produce a concrete defence and attack against a classy, top of the league team.
Every player did their duty and then some to meet and then exceed whatever Alleyn’s had to give. Annette, from the half-way line looked and worked like Robocop on 3 Red Bull, fantastic at keeping so many goals out, Harriet slapped balls here and there, Kat did her inexhaustible thing and Max stunned with some excellent ball steals, proving that the league position gulf did not affect capabilities, rather the reverse.
Hockey sticks worked like chopsticks, legs like pistons and brains like Stevie Hawkins, but Blackheath could not find a way to score. All was used up by game-end but Jenna had prepared a repast fit for victory so Blackheath licked their wounds and spicy chicken pieces whilst reflecting on what might have been and what needs to be in the remainder of the season.
Annette is now on a warning for being voted Man of the Match for the squiddlynth time, with no such precedence since records began it is therefore fineable on any repeat performance.
