Some motivational words are obviously motivational, ‘Never quit’, ‘Move closer to your goals’, ‘Just do it!’

So Captain Nat borrowed those from Blackheath men’s 2nd X1 Captain Ders and loudly suffused her team with the words “CaD PaT”, during team- huddle and it was as though she’d injected rocket fuel into the soul and fast-twitch muscle fibres of all concerned, clearly, as a previously unseen wave upon wave of Blackheath attack ensued, fragmenting TW into nought but mere bystander status.

A magnificent side-line hit from Sandie was picked up by ? in a goodly way and crossed into the circle, where Jenna & Biggsy attempts to pot the ball were rebuffed by the goalie until Gina pushed it home.
TW began to implode as one player was sent off and another received a yellow card, whilst Max was environmentally friendly earning a green in such a gentile way, trying to poach a ball, from ever so slightly behind, on legs not as nippy as Nippy Nora’s of Tunbridge Wells.
Peeved umpires had a skittish mare of a match to restrain all the way to the final whistle, but not before a divine cross from a superb ? arrived as manna to an awaiting Biggsy who scored Blackheath’s second.
There were many instances of brilliance on pitch, Nat was inspirational, our youth player (despite a birthday the day before) Biggsy indefatigable, Kat the same, Harriet and Georgina’s hits like knife through butter, Goalie, Annette, Daphne and Sandie take a bow for non-stop hassle and retrieve! Newly-minted 30 yr old Jenna linked play brilliantly, Sue and Kirsty kept up pressure and Max was like a Spring flower, popping up everywhere just when it counted.
A superb Blackheath victory was the result with lots of CaD (Composure and Discipline) despite mounting provocation, proving PaT ‘(Patience and Trust) will get you through. Well deserved CaD PaT’s of the Match were Harriet, Max and Gina.

?= fantastic players whose names remain a mystery due to oxygen debt or obstructed vision (steamy or smeared lenses).
