After early concerns of frozen pitches around Kent we were reassured that our game would be going ahead and the sun came out.
With a big squad we knew that we could put the leg work in and sub when tired. However, as the match started it appeared that we hadn’t quite warmed up and needed the first 10 minutes to find our feet. Unfortunately, this led to BBHC scoring 2 very early goals. As a team we did what we do well and we worked together, lifted our heads and pushed on still trying to get the win. With the sun shining brightly it was hard for everyone to see the ball hitting the oppositions foot and frustratingly going into the goal leaving us fired up and wanting goals.
Eventually, half time came and after a really productive chat about what we were doing well and what we needed to change we played the second half like a new team. With some brilliant pressing up front and passing we managed to score a brilliant goal finished off by Pia. During the second half we played with determination and fire in our bellies holding off the opposition. This is what we’re hoping to take through to next week. POM: Karen for some awesome play. TFC: Hannah for being in full kit and not even playing.
