Blackheath ladies warmed up well for this friendly and the first two goals were scored by Sue before the timer was at six minutes. The pace was fast and subs were made after ten minutes and two goals were scored by the opposition in fairly fast succession. Now at 2:2, the Blackheath girls were keen to prove themselves and by half time, Nicole had knocked in another two goals for the team.
The half-time team talks over, the score at 4:2 to Blackheath, the whistle was blown for the second half. The opposition had warmed up by this stage and managed to draw level. Blackheath made some close shots on goal, getting through the Sevenoaks defence, but it wasn’t enough as Sevenoaks scored two more goals, making the score level…to the last ten minutes of the match when a fifth goal secured a win for Sevenoaks.
Although a slightly disappointed team left the pitch, that shouldn’t be so as the girls had worked hard on their match skills and with so many goals, it was a highly respectable finish. Keep at it, ladies, you’re a fab team!
