Maidstone L2 1-3 BEHC L3

A great start to the season for a scratch team.
After a tough first ten where Maidstone attacked in wave after wave. Blackheath started to impose our game on the opposition.
A fast counter attack by us led to a great finish by Ria to make it 1-0. The game continued to ebb and flow for the rest of the half with heath defending many a short corner successfully but also pushing forward on counter with Grace and Isla causing all sorts of problems with their speed.

The start of the second led to sustained pressure from Blackheath, which turned into goals from Kirsten at a short corner and from Kaitlyn who sneaked out of defense to score from the top of the D.
Maidstone then somehow forced the ball across the line despite heroics from Ellie and Frankie.
The last ten minutes turned into a frantic defensive effort from the whole team but especially from Alex and Beckie B on the right stomping out attack after attack.
