The Ladies 3s aquaplaned their way down to the coast but all arrived safely in a damp and soggy Herne Bay.
The intrepid dozen set out to break their streak of draws and get back to winning ways and we looked to be on the way with a lovely opening goal from Alice O midway through the first half.
However Herne Bay drew level not long after, from a dubious short corner.
Blackheath were growing into the game though and were on top in midfield pushing Herne Bay deeper and deeper but the HB keeper had clearly remembered their Weetabix and did well to deny Heath on a number of occasions.
Into the second half and we kept pushing for a second goal, with Becca A inches away from tapping in at the post from a short.
Frankie, Alice G and Becca kept it tight at the back sweeping up the odd Herne Bay attack.
Midway through the wind and rain arrived and pitch sped up but the play slowed down as everyone tired and suddenly HB were pushing for a winner at the death but heroics from Ellie and the backline saved our bacon and we left Herne Bay with another drew.
